ELSEWHERE II, 2025
Handbuilt ceramic sculpture
Elsewhere II captures a moment of subtle displacement. The form leans and turns, its opening set off-center, resisting a single, frontal view. The sculpture reveals itself gradually, asking the viewer to move around it in order to fully understand its shape.
Handbuilt intuitively in ceramic, the piece developed without a predetermined outcome. Through touch, response, and attention, the form emerged slowly, allowing tension, asymmetry, and direction to guide its development.
By inviting the viewer to look from a less familiar angle, Elsewhere II reflects on how perspective is shaped by position — and how even a small shift can change the way we see.
