I love to combine handbuilding and wheel throwing techniques to create organically shaped vases, lamps, tableware, and sculptures
Working with clay has taught me some valuable life lessons. Besides some patience, it learned me to embrace the beauty of imperfections. Each and every ceramic piece will show the touch of a hand, making it little different from the next. And I believe that’s exactly the beauty of handmade items
Once in a while I add small batches of new work to this website, if you want to be the first to know about a new batch. Please sign up to my newsletter. I also like to work on commission to create unique designs specific to your desires
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, ideas for art or just for a chat about ceramics
Custom pieces are an opportunity to collaborate on ideas and preferences to make the piece we both envision. Examples of past and current custom commissioned work include: Lamps, vases and organic sculptures.
Have something special in mind? Your inquiries about custom sizes, shapes and imagery, are welcome.
Have a taste of how it feels to work with ceramics and make your first ceramic object!
These taster class workshops are a great introduction to working with clay. During the afternoon I will take you through the basics of working with clay and you will be making your first ceramic work. In this 2,5 hour workshop you will be making one medium size item (a pitcher, a vase or a sculptural object) or two smaller pieces (such as a mug and a breakfast bowl) with a variety of handbuilding techniques.
