AT A DISTANCE, 2026
Handbuilt ceramic sculpture
At a Distance presents a compact, rounded form with an opening that remains slightly withdrawn. The sculpture does not offer itself all at once; it asks the viewer to approach slowly, to look from different positions, and to accept that full clarity may remain just out of reach.
Handbuilt intuitively in ceramic, the piece developed without a fixed plan. Through touch, response, and attention, the form emerged gradually, allowing restraint and subtle shifts to shape its presence.
By encouraging a measured encounter rather than immediate access, At a Distance reflects on how perspective is shaped by proximity — and how distance itself can alter what we see, and how we relate.
