In pottery terms, "seconds" are ceramic items with a (small) imperfection. When you think about wheel-throwing and kiln-firing, it's clear just how much can go wrong: an oblique edge, a glaze malfunction, a stamp that didn't land in exactly the right place. But just because the pieces aren't up to the full-price standards doesn't mean they need to go in the trash!
The beauty of imperfections
Please understand that all items in this store are handmade, and handmade items -by nature- have imperfections. There are inconsistencies based on the creative nature. Each item will look a little different from the next, and I believe that’s exactly the beauty of handmade items.
